History

District & Sessions Judge’s Court, Vijayapura was Established in the year 1904.

VIJAYAPURA Taluka consists of 6 District and Session Courts, 2 Family Courts, 1 Labour Court, 5 Senior Civil and JMFC Courts, 6 Civil and JMFC Courts.

INDI Taluka consists of 1 Senior Civil Judge Court and 2 Civil Judge Courts.

SINDAGI Taluka consists of 2 Senior Civil Judge Courts and 2 Civil Judge Courts.

BASAVAN BAGEWADI Taluka consists of 2 Senior Civil Judge Courts and 2 Civil Judge Courts.

MUDDEBIHAL Taluka consists of 1 Senior Civil Judge Court and 1 Civil Judge Court.

Each Taluka, in this Unit, is provided with Computer Server room under e-courts project.

The Judgments and Orders of all the Courts situated in this unit are available on District Court web-site (https://vijayapura.dcourts.gov.in/).

Video-conference facility is available in the District Court premises for Administration and Judicial Work and Desktop Based VC is available in all the Court Complex of Vijayapura Unit.

Information KIOSK are installed in District Court Complex and all Taluka Court complex for the use of Advocates and Litigants Public.

Short Message Service [SMS] facility is provided to Advocates on Filing of new cases, Registration of new cases and case disposal information.

District Legal Services Authority in existence and rendering free legal aid to the needy. Lok-Adalaths are organized for settlement of various types of pending disputes and Pre-litigation disputes and Taluka Legal Service Committees have been functioning in all Talukas.
